Description:
At 210 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from New Cummer to Wittensville to near Hode.
Movement was southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Paintsville, West Liberty, Prestonsburg, Salyersville, Inez, Mason,
Henry, Lewis, Warfield, Pilgrim, Burkhart, Oaklawn Estates, Florress,
Davella, Pekin, Falcon, Omer, Whitehouse, Wonnie, and Burning Fork.
THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS...
Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 55 and 76.
Kentucky Highway 3 in Floyd County between mile markers 1 and 4.
Kentucky Highway 3 in Johnson County Kentucky Highway 3 in Martin
County between mile markers 1 and 9.
U.S. Highway 23 in Floyd County between mile markers 17 and 21.
U.S. Highway 23 in Johnson County between mile markers 0 and 16.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern, northeastern and east central Kentucky.
