Description:
At 717 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Hollonville, or 7 miles southeast of Campton,
moving southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jackson, Simpson, Buck, Burkhart, Lexie, Vail, Fillmore, Noctor, West
Royalton Station, Lerose, War Creek, Elkatawa, Gapville, Evanston,
Lane, Sewell, Haddix, Malaga, Guage, and Turkey.
THIS INCLUDES Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 50
and 67.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
