Description: 
At 1021 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Winchester to Harris Ferry to near Winston to 7 miles north of Boone to near Disputanta. Movement was southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Stanton, Irvine, McKee, Boone, Clay City, Ravenna, Donaro, Bummer, Robinet, Kimbrell, Shop Branch, Wiseman Crossing Station, Climax, Virden, Winston, Vaughns Mill, Disputanta, Shirley, Alumbaugh, and Evelyn. THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING HIGHWAYS... Bert T. Combs Mountain Parkway between mile markers 13 and 25. Interstate 75 in east central Kentucky between mile markers 65 and 72.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT for south central, southeastern and east central Kentucky.
