Description:
At 856 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Falmouth to 9 miles southwest of
Williamstown to 6 miles southwest of Owenton. Movement was south at
35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Georgetown, Frankfort, Cynthiana, Breckinridge, Midway, Stamping
Ground, Sadieville, Berry, Longlick, and Slickway.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT for
central Kentucky.
