Description:
At 836 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Washington to 7 miles west of Lewisburg to 6
miles northwest of Fairview to 12 miles northeast of Cynthiana.
Movement was southeast at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Flemingsburg, Fairview, Pecks Ridge, Mount Carmel, Nepton, Tilton,
Pebble, Muses Mills, Hillsboro, Craintown, Sherburne, Wallingford,
Bethel, Plummers Landing, Cowan, Poplar Plains, Foxport, Elizaville,
Goddard, and Oakley.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM EDT for
east central Kentucky.
