Description:
At 628 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Calf Creek, or near Inez, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Paintsville, Inez, Forest Hills, Warfield, Add, Huddy, Pilgrim,
Davella, Whitehouse, Prince, Williamsport, Offutt, Milo, Lovely, Job,
Threeforks, Bradbury, Hatfield Station, Debord, and Pleasant.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for southeastern
and northeastern Kentucky.
