Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Kentucky, including the
following county, Fleming.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 933 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that showers were
weakening across the area. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5
and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the hardest hit areas
since 8 AM.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area through 10:30 AM. Excessive runoff will
continue to result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Carmel and Foxport.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
