Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of east central Kentucky, including the
following county, Fleming.
* WHEN...Until 1045 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 841 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
slow-moving showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in the hardest
hit areas.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area between 8:45 and 9:45 AM. This additional rain will
result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Carmel and Foxport.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
