Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of northeast and southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, in northeast Kentucky, Johnson and Martin. In southeast Kentucky, Floyd, Magoffin and Pike. * WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 526 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will allow minor flooding to persist or worsen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Pikeville, Paintsville, Prestonsburg, Salyersville, Mason, Coal Run Village, Martin, Allen, Dock, Cliff, Lancer, Blue River, Beaver Junction, Dwale, Dotson, Allen City, Bays Branch, Arkansas, Alphoretta and Bonanza.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
