Description:
At 452 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles northwest
of Lakin, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Public. At 443 PM CDT, a personal weather station reported
58 mph winds in northern Kearny County.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northern Kearny and west central Finney Counties.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
