Description:
* WHAT...Afternoon heat index values as high as 105.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and east central and south
central Nebraska.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Steady southeasterly winds around 10 to 15 MPH
will provide some relief during the afternoon hours.
Instruction:
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
