Description:
At 1107 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Fulda to near Windom to near Orleans, moving
northeast at 65 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Public. At 1105 PM CDT, a 58 mph wind gust was reported
4 miles south of Bigelow.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Windom, Jackson In Jackson County, Lakefield, Bergen, Westbrook,
Bingham Lake, Kilen Woods State Park, Mountain Lake, Jeffers and
Storden.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Sioux Falls.
