Description:
At 755 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near North Vernon to Seymour to 6 miles northwest of
Brownstown, moving south at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Seymour, North Vernon, Brownstown, Vernon, Crothersville, Westport,
Medora, Elizabethtown, Jonesville, Millhousen, Paris Crossing,
Nebraska, Vallonia, Spurgeons Corner, Azalia, Cortland, Country
Squire Lakes, Story, Hayden, and Waymansville.
This includes Interstate 65 between mile markers 37 and 61.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
