...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...
Big Blue River at Shelbyville.
East Fork White River at Seymour.
Flatrock River near Columbus.
East Fork White River at Columbus.
Driftwood River near Edinburgh.
Muscatatuck River at Vernon.
.Major river flooding is expected. Heavy rainfall of three to well
over six inches overnight and continued rainfall today and tonight
will bring major flooding to area waterways, including the Big Blue
River at Shelbyville. Other areas such as the Driftwood near
Edinburgh should expect significant flooding as well. At the current
time, further downstream locations on the East Fork White can expect
minor lowland flooding.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...East Fork White River at Columbus.
* WHEN...From Thursday afternoon to late Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Extensive agricultural flooding is in
progress north of SR 46 and along right bank downstream of gage.
Flood begins to go over CR 325 W south of Lowell Rd.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was -1.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to 12.0 feet early Friday morning. It will
then fall early Friday afternoon. It will rise to 11.8 feet
early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
late Saturday evening.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
