Description:
At 950 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Belvidere to near Malta to near Shabbona, moving
east at 55 mph. This line of storms has a history of producing wind
damage.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Marengo, Hampshire, Maple Park, Huntley, Sugar Grove, Elburn, Lily
Lake, Aurora, Elgin, St. Charles, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills,
Campton Hills, Montgomery, North Aurora, Pingree Grove, Gilberts,
Carpentersville, Batavia, Geneva, South Elgin, West Dundee, Sleepy
Hollow, Wayne, Valley View, Bartlett, West Chicago, Barrington
Hills and East Dundee.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
Prepare immediately for damaging winds and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.
