Description:
At 931 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 6 miles southwest of Rockton to Davis Junction to 6
miles west of Paw Paw, moving east at 55 mph. This line of storms
has a history of producing wind damage.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Belvidere, Loves Park, Shabbona, Candlewick Lake, Kirkland, Malta,
and Timberlane around 940 AM CDT.
Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
DeKalb, Sycamore, Poplar Grove, Genoa, Waterman, Kingston, Leland,
Sandwich, Lake Holiday, Cortland, Hinckley, Somonauk, Capron and
Maple Park.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
Prepare immediately for damaging winds and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.
