Description:
At 909 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Tampico to near Thomas to near German Corner,
moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Princeton, Geneseo, Spring Valley, DePue, Walnut, Ladd, Wyanet,
Atkinson, Sheffield, Annawan, La Moille, Dalzell, Buda, Hooppole,
Ohio, Cherry, Osco, Yorktown, Malden, and Manlius.
This also includes Hennepin Canal State Trail and Mautino State Fish
& Wildlife Area.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 15 and 73.
Interstate 180 between mile markers 8 and 13.
Instruction:
A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can
develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not
immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place
of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small
interior room.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
