Sangamon River at Monticello affecting Piatt County.
.The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Sangamon River at Monticello.
* WHEN...From late tonight to Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Flooding of agricultural areas begins.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 12.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 13.8 feet Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage late Sunday
morning.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
