Description:
At 346 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sesser, or near Rend Lake Area, moving southeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Benton, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Valier, and North City.
This includes Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 73 and
80.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
