* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Franklin County in south central Illinois... Southern Jefferson County in south central Illinois... Eastern Perry County in south central Illinois... * WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1206 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Benton, Du Quoin, Pinckneyville, Christopher, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Valier, West City, Tamaroa, Ina, North City, Buckner, Bonnie, Belle Rive, Hanaford, Ewing, Nason and St. Johns. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
