Northern Lake IN County in northwestern Indiana... * Until 1145 PM CDT. * At 837 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing rainfall rates in excess of 1 inch per hour continuing across the warned area. Up to 2 inches has occurred so far near Lemont, Orland Park, and Palos Hills. A few reports of street flooding have been received from southern Cook County. HAZARD...Flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other poor drainage areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
