Description:
At 549 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that rain had ended across
the warned area. According to radar and automated gauges, up to 2
inches of rain fell. Recent traffic reports indicated lingering
standing water on some roadways.
HAZARD...Flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Rapid-onset flooding of creeks, streams, drainage
ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
other poor drainage areas.

Hammond, Gary, Tinley Park, Calumet City, Portage, Merrillville,
Chicago Heights, East Chicago, Schererville, Hobart, Lansing, Oak
Forest, Harvey, Highland, Munster, Dolton, Park Forest, Homewood,
Matteson and Frankfort.
Instruction:
A Flash Flood Warning means rapid-onset flooding is imminent or may
already be occurring. Persons along creeks, drainage ditches, and
other waterways should take immediate precautions to protect life
and property.
