Description:
* WHAT...Daily peak heat index values from 100 to 108 degrees.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT /9 PM EDT/ Friday.
* IMPACTS...Prolonged duration hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heat index values above 100 degrees may
continue into Saturday. Several warm record overnight low
temperatures in the mid-70s is possible this week.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
