...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES THROUGH TODAY... .A long-period south-southwest swell will slowly decline today. A reinforcing pulse of long-period south-southwest swell will produce elevated surf this weekend and will likely require the advisory to be extended. * WHAT...Surf 8 to 12 ft this morning, decreasing to 7 to 10 feet in the afternoon. * WHERE...South facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands. * WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Friday, though the advisory may need to be extended through the weekend. * IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous.
