Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County...
* WHEN...Until 500 PM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 153 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over central
Oahu. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in
the advisory area. Rain was falling at a rate of up to 1 inch per
hour.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Honolulu, Waipio, Kunia, Wheeler Field, Mililani, Waikele,
Schofield Barracks, Waipahu, Wahiawa, Pearl City, Makakilo and
Kapolei.
Instruction:
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone to
flooding.
