Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.
* WHEN...Until 1115 PM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 911 PM HST, radar and automated rain gauges continued to
indicate moderate to heavy rain redeveloping over windward
Oahu from Kaneohe to Kahana Bay. Rain was falling at a rate
of up to one inch per hour. Stream levels in the area have
been falling but remain elevated.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Waikane, Waiahole, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu, Kaaawa, Punaluu,
Kaneohe, Kailua, Kualoa, Kahana Valley State Park and Heeia.
Instruction:
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
