At 402 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 miles northwest of Edgefield, or 21 miles north of Martinez, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Edgefield, Saluda, McCormick, Johnston, Ridge Spring, Clarks Hill Recreation Area, Saluda County Airport, Edgefield County Airport, Mccormick County Airport, Hamilton Branch State Park, Monetta, Trenton, Parksville, Ward, Plum Branch, Strom Thurmond High School, Saluda Co Sheriff's Office, Good Hope, Modoc, and Scott's Landing.
