Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and west central
Georgia, including the following counties, in central Georgia,
Bibb, Bleckley, Crawford, Crisp, Dodge, Dooly, Houston, Laurens,
Peach, Pulaski, Twiggs, Wilcox and Wilkinson. In east central
Georgia, Johnson. In west central Georgia, Chattahoochee, Harris,
Macon, Marion, Muscogee, Schley, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor,
Upson and Webster.
* WHEN...Through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of rainfall have dropped 1 to 3 inches of
rainfall with further rainfall expected tonight into Friday
afternoon. A significantly moist tropical environment across
Georgia will support high rain rates and increased chances for
flash flooding. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches or more will
be possible through tonight. Urban areas, and areas with poor
drainage, will be the most susceptible to flash flooding.
