Description:
At 521 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles southwest of Franklin to 7 miles west
of Clayton. Movement was east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clayton, Highlands, Mountain City, Tiger, Dillard, Sky Valley, Lake
Rabun, Lake Burton, Lakemont, and Tallulah Gorge State Park.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
