Description:
At 313 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles southwest of Waverly, or 9 miles northwest of
Woodbine, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Woodbine, Dock Junction, Country Club
Estates, Thalmann, Sea Island, Everett, Waynesville, and Jekyll
Island.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
