Description:
At 530 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Jones, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Darien, Tibet, Jones, Riceboro, Eulonia, Pine Harbor, Crescent,
Meridian, Valona and Carnigan.
This includes I-95 in Georgia near mile marker 50...and between mile
markers 47 and 49...and between mile markers 51 and 72.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
