...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Florida...
St. Marks River near Newport On Old Magnolia Rd affecting Wakulla
and Leon Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marks River near Newport On Old Magnolia Rd.
* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 8.5 feet, Water approaches the steps to an elevated
residence on Old Magnolia Road in Wakulla County. Other elevated
structures begin to be surrounded by water. Portions of the Natural
Bridge State Park near the river begin to flood in Leon County.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 7.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 8.7 feet
Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.6
feet on 04/01/1987.
