Description:
At 251 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near World Golf Village to near
Hastings, and is nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
Locations impacted include...
Green Cove Springs, Hastings, World Golf Village, Picolata, Federal
Point, Orange Mills, Bakersville and Spuds.
Instruction:
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
