Description:
At 452 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
capable of producing a landspout along a line extending from 6 miles
northeast of Charlotte County Airport to near Cape Coral to Iona.
These storms were nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
Locations impacted include...
Cape Coral, North Port, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, Matlacha, Harlem
Heights, Iona, Cypress Lake, Pine Island Center, McGregor, Matlacha
Isles-Matlacha Shores, Charlotte County Airport, Pineland, St. James
City, Burnt Store Marina, Saint James City, Murdock, Punta Rassa,
Harbour Heights, and Cleveland.
Instruction:
