Description:
At 144 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chipley, moving north at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Vernon, Chipley, Bonifay, Bradford, Cottondale, Alford, Wausau,
Richter Crossroads, Smyrna, Bahoma, Compass Lake, Sylvania, Johnson
Crossroads, Brock Crossroad, Chipley Municipal Airport, Orange Hill,
Holmes County Airport, Ridgetop, Bethlehem, and Steele City.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
