Description:
At 638 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Anna Maria Island, moving south at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Bradenton, Palmetto, Longboat Key, Anna Maria Island, Anna Maria,
West Bradenton, South Bradenton, Memphis, Holmes Beach, Bradenton
Beach, Cortez, Palma Sola and Whitney Beach.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
