Description:
At 329 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 12 miles west of Four Corners to 7 miles
southwest of Champions Gate to near Bartow. Movement was northeast at
10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Winter Haven, Haines City, Bartow, Lake Wales, Auburndale, Fussels
Corner, Jan Phyl Village, Lake Alfred, Dundee, Davenport, Eagle Lake,
Lake Hamilton, Inwood, Withla, Highland City, Cypress Gardens, Winter
Haven Airport, Bartow Municipal Airport, Wahneta, and Waverly.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
