Description:
At 719 PM EDT/619 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 14 miles north of Panama City Beach, moving south at 20
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Panama City, Lynn Haven, Panama City Beach, Springfield, Hiland Park,
Ebro, West Bay, Seminole Hills, Gulf Lagoon Beach, Gulf Resort Beach,
West Panama City, Bahama Beach, Red Head, Pine Log, Edgewater Gulf
Beach, Laird, Bid-a-Wee, and Dirego Park.
Instruction:
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
