Description:
At 1057 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles northwest of Vernon, moving south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Vernon, Bonifay, Live Oak, Ponce De Leon, Caryville, Westville, Ebro,
Hinsons Crossroads, Red Bay, Douglass Crossroad, Whitehead
Crossroads, Cerrogordo, Gritney, Bruce, Red Head, Holmes Valley,
Millers Ferry, Five Points, Pine Log, and Hulaw.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
