Description:
At 929 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chipley, moving south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Vernon, Chipley, Bonifay, Bradford, Alford, Wausau, Brock Crossroad,
Betts, Chipley Municipal Airport, Orange Hill, Ridgetop, Holmes
Valley, Steele City, Gilberts Mill, Five Points, Round Lake, Hulaw,
Smyrna, Spring Hollow, and Sunny Hills.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
