Description:
At 523 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a couple of strong
thunderstorms over Silver Springs Shores, or 9 miles northwest of
The Villages, moving north at 5 mph or nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 to 45 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Silver Springs Shores, Lake Weir, Santos, The Village of Briar
Meadow, Belleview, and Summerfield.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
