Description:
* WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning today, dangerously hot
conditions with heat index values up to 113. For the Heat Advisory
on Saturday, heat index values up to 111 expected.
* WHERE...Portions of Big Bend and Panhandle Florida.
* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM EDT /7 PM CDT/ this
evening. For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ to 7 PM
EDT /6 PM CDT/ Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high
humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
