* WHAT...Heat index values of 106-110 expected.
* WHERE...Coastal Broward County, Coastal Miami Dade County, Coastal
Palm Beach County, Metro Broward County, Metro Palm Beach County,
Metropolitan Miami Dade, Coastal Collier County, and Inland
Collier County Counties.
* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 7 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments.
