Description:
At 634 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Green Spring to near Sudlersville to near
Centreville, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Middletown, Centerville, Smyrna, Chestertown, Centreville, Clayton,
Church Hill, Millington, Sudlersville, Hartly, Old Town, Grasonville,
Woodland Beach, Morgnec, Delaney Corner, Crumpton, Sassafras,
Stevensville, Green Spring, and Chester.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for central and
northern Delaware...and eastern and northeastern Maryland.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
