Description:
At 601 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Hamburg, or 7 miles west of West Milford, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Stamford, White Plains, New City, Port Chester, West Milford,
Ossining, Ridgewood, Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Rye, Ramsey,
Ringwood, Haverstraw, and Tarrytown.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
southern Connecticut...northeastern New Jersey...and southeastern New
York.
