* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southern Connecticut, including the following counties, Middlesex, New Haven and New London. * WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1233 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jewett City, Middletown, Norwich, New London, Guilford, Colchester, Clinton, East Hampton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Durham, Salem, Chester, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, Cromwell, Griswold, Portland and East Haddam. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
