Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Portions of northern Connecticut, including the following
areas, Hartford CT and Tolland CT and western Massachusetts,
including the following areas, Eastern Franklin MA, Eastern
Hampden MA, Eastern Hampshire MA, Western Franklin MA, Western
Hampden MA and Western Hampshire MA.
* WHEN...Through this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and early evening
produced 1 to 2 inches of rain with localized amounts to 3
inches. Moderate to locally heavy rains over eastern NY into
the waters east of New Jersey were forecast to move northward
this morning and continue into the afternoon, which will
raise the risk for street flooding and cause rises on streams
and creeks.
