* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Northeastern Larimer County in north central Colorado...
Northwestern Weld County in northeastern Colorado...
* Until 645 PM MDT.
* At 555 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
near Burns to 5 miles north of Fort Collins, or along a line from
21 miles east of Cheyenne to 5 miles north of Fort Collins, moving
southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Wellington, Nunn, Rockport, Carr, Natural Fort, Hereford, Buckeye
and Waverly.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Heavy rain is occurring with these storms and may lead to flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
