FFWPUB The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... West Central El Paso County in east central Colorado... * Until 815 PM MDT. * At 511 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain in Northwest side of Colorado Springs. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2.5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Western Colorado Springs. This includes the following streams and drainages... Monument Creek, South Douglas Creek including Mountain Shadows, Holland Park, and east to Monument Creek, Dry Creek including Peregrine and Rockrimmon subdivisions, West Monument Creek including extreme southern Air Force Academy, North Douglas Creek including Oak Valley, and subdivisions to Monument Creek.
