Description:
At 609 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Timpas to near Higbee to 24 miles south of
North La Junta. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 50 to 55 mph and brief pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
La Junta, North La Junta, Cheraw, Higbee, and Timpas.
Instruction:
